About Applied Group
We've been pulling supplier parts off the shelf in Joburg since 1990.
Applied Group is an OEM-authorised distributor of Parker Hannifin, ITT Enidine and ITW Vortec — supplying engineered motion-control components to South African industry from a stocked warehouse in Laser Park.
The story
Built on the unsexy idea that the right part, on time, matters.
Applied Group started in 1990 supplying hydraulic and pneumatic spares to South African mines and OEMs. The country was different. The industry was different. The principle — get the right part on a customer's site before their machine costs them a fortune in downtime — has not changed.
Over thirty-five years we've supplied parts into mines stretching from Rustenburg to Steelpoort, packaging lines in Boksburg, sugar mills in KwaZulu-Natal, water treatment in the Western Cape, and rail workshops across the country. Engineering's not glamorous. Downtime is expensive. Our job is to be the supplier the engineer can trust to answer the phone and ship the right thing.
Today we run a multi-thousand-SKU catalogue with hundreds of fast-movers stocked in Johannesburg, weekly lead-time syncs from each supplier, and a team of engineers who know which obsolete part has been superseded by which current one. We're authorised distributors for Parker Hannifin, ITT Enidine (shock and vibration) and ITW Vortec (compressed-air products), giving customers a single supplier for a wider basket.
We're not the biggest. We're not the cheapest. We are the people who'll cross-reference your spec, flag the obsolete line, and ship the right replacement before your maintenance window closes.
What we do beyond pick-and-pack
Capabilities
Distribution is the floor, not the ceiling. The reason our customers stay isn't the warehouse — it's the work around it.
BOM cross-reference
Send us a parts list — old SKUs, OEM numbers, competitor equivalents. We come back with current SKUs, prices and lead times. Per line. Same day.
Stock & call programmes
For high-volume buyers: we hold consigned stock or maintain a re-order baseline. You don't run out. We don't surprise you with a backorder lead time on the day you need it.
Application engineering
Specifying a hydraulic cylinder for a new line? Picking the right shock absorber rating? Our engineers spec real applications across mining, food, water and rail — not just sell parts.
Drop-ship & export
We dispatch direct to your site anywhere in Southern Africa — Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Eswatini. Customs and freight handled.
Direct line to suppliers
When a question is bigger than the catalogue can answer, we go straight to the OEM's regional engineering team. As an authorised distributor, we have the relationship.
Live lead times
Each supplier's lead times sync weekly. When we place a PO with them, the SKU shows "Incoming · ETA" automatically — no guessing, no spreadsheet.

If your line uses fluid power or motion control, we've probably shipped to something like it.
