Cutting drill-rig hose failures by 75% on a Bushveld platinum mine
Nine underground rigs, monthly hose carnage, and a workshop crimping on the wrong dies. We respec'd hose families, swapped to stainless-braid covers in vulnerable zones, and rebuilt the crimping discipline.
Ending summer CIP failures at a Free State dairy
14 solenoid valves with corroded coils, a control panel running at 65 °C internal, and seven lost batches a summer. We swapped to IP67-coil valves and bolted on a Vortec NEMA 4X enclosure cooler.
VFD enclosures that survived a Karoo summer
Remote pump station, a failed aircon 600 km from the regional workshop, and VFDs tripping out on every 38 °C day. We retrofitted a vortex cooler running off the station's existing compressed air.
